As you hav'nt stated you have a chip, you will only be able to run 9psi tops before the boost protection cuts in from the ecu, fitting a chip will get over this problem and you can turn the boost up, BUT make sure your fueling is matched to the increased boost preasure, else bye bye pistons
I suggest you go for a "195" chip, beige injectors and an cossy fuel pump as you have low comp pistons so you should be able to run at least 15psi, again make sure its all set up properly, that way you will avoid any nasty surprises.
HTH.

As above if you have a cheep boost gauge they some times's can be 3-6 psi out so it could be over boosting before you thing

I would try taking out the chip but don't drive it hard just to see if it's over boost. Don't mess with the chip when the Ignition is on other wise it damage your ECU. What boost gauge do you have? if it's cheap like those one's that change colour then bin it

Bin it and buy a auto meter or nomad new there about £50-60 second hand £30ish. try taking the chip out like i said if nojoy then adjust the actuator turn the stem so it get's longer a few turn's at one time that will lower the boostRS_seg :yep it changes colour!!!!

The escort cosworth fuel pump is identical to the frst so you can't tell them apart but you will need the cossy one or uprated one as it need's to keep up with the chip/injectors as your engine will go bangRS_seg :beige injectors

Sorry it's under the back seat you can see it if you take it up but to take it out you need to get under the car and drop the fuel tank down to get it outRS_seg :i mean in the engine .

Clean the chips conatctas along with those on the ECU using a non abrasive contact cleaner (Electrolube etc) then refit the chip. The chips themselves are rarely at fault so it may be worth speaking to a reputable tuner for advice if this doesn't cure it
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
