Re: Owners with 300bhp+ - tyre choice
luca uses r888's i think or MT slicks recently
although not in the same league
i had yokohamma a048's medium compound on my 106 track car,
which is the same used on the lotus exige
found them great, allows you to push your confidence with the car alot more,
traction was better, you knew when they were up to temperature....................
can hear them picking up all the crap off the road

Wrong forum
On a serious note, I don't know.
Got Falken FK452's on the 540i as recommended by people on pistonheads. Totally different car though.
Toyo T1's or Eagle F1?

Have used them on loads of cars, my mate had them on a 230bhp ERST and currently has them on his TVR T350 and all fine.

Oh my days.
But on a serious note, I have heard good things about AO48R'S too from various sources.

Re: Owners with 300bhp+ - tyre choice
888's are great initially over a normal road tyre.
However I found when on track these would overheat and go off after about 3 laps.
A set of Ao48r's came up so I thought try them. These were in 205/50/15" they were leagues ahead of the 888's.
As Rob stated I also use now the M/T drag slicks which are huge and needed alot or arch mods !!!!!
and erm...which erm!... well killed my clutch

What's it rated to? Looks like I'll end up with 450 now so need something decent!
Are you using a Fidanza flywheel or similar?

Meant to handle 500hp.
You best get a twin plate clutch if you want a fit and forget solution.
