I dont know, i have given it to a friend of mine who builds engines, still waiting to get it back

Just a quick update, had the car running for a while now, still waiting for an actuator from Julian Godfrey's, but 2 lots of bad news, i have to take the gearbox out as the diff bearings are fcuked and also when the car has warmed up slightly it starts steaming out of the exhaust, i just hope its either the turbo or water in the exhaust, 99% sure it isnt the engine

glad to see your still cracking on with this :) looks good progress what turbo are u running it on? if u still need a actuator I have a -31 one for t2 I can sell ya? works fine im just converting over to t3 at he moment , if u suspect that your turbo is leakin water into the exhaust there's an easy way to tell... take the water feed ad return of the turbo and stick a bolt in the hoses ad see if it still does it.. it's a hell of alot more fun to drive than the 1.3 ain't it

Thanx for the offer, I am running a T3, got the actuator on order, not driven it on the road yet, got to get the box done first, but at the moment funds are all gone,

Here are a few photos, i need to paint the intercooler black, looks very stealth

update time as i havent done much since january, well after having it driving round the forecourt at work i noticed a gearbox oil leak, gearbox i brought as 'working' has knackered diff bearings, after removing the gearbox and stripping it down i find this

Image

absoluety f**cked, so i brought a box of scrap, anyway went to see my local gearbox guy, he goes through a few boxes and finds a pinion shaft and crown wheel he had made up, it has an uprated bearing pinion bearing (mt75 one) and a slightly different ratio, old one was a 3.8, new one is a 3.5 so a better top end, anyway at the moment i am trying t find time to finish rebuilding th ebox and get it back in the car, once its back in a few small jobs on it and hopefully its ready for getting it set up correctly

well ive rebuilt the gearbox with new bearings, gaskets and seals, all back in the car, had it running, now i seem to have a water problem, bloody water is rising out of the header tank, and boiled up, this is after i totally rebuilt the engine, so they is proburaly a crack in the head or block, anyway i am currently off work due to an op on my ankle and laid up for a month or 2
