Pace Intercooler
I really like gav's intercooler but i dont really wanna cut my bumper up, and after various pieces of advice I think i'm gonna get a pace cooler but ive heard really mixed views about them and I am wondering if any1 has one or knows what there like;
Are they a good fit? Are they easy to fit? Can u notice a difference?
Thanks alot
Matt

All we hear back on here is that Pace Products aren't a patch on their GRS counterparts, nowhere near as efficient.

what ever you do matt, dont get the pace !! ive had 1 too, didnt feel any difference at all until i bought the grs.
the only way to get good cooling is as pornstar said!! u need large surface area and for it not to be covered by anything so u can get as much air to it as poss.
either think of another design and get graham@grs to make it but no point having a large intercooler and it being covered by the bumper
or
if u cant be bothered just buy a pace chargecooler if u dont want to run more than 1 bar. its better than their interwarmer!!

Pace isnt that great. A front mounted IC like Gav's WILL make a difference.
I had a cossie one with a similar surface area to Gav's and I noticed the different straight away from the Pace IC. Especially at higher speeds, the car pull's a lot better.
I would recommend Gav's version as it's the ideal soloution in my opinion for a standard bumper.

I'm a bit annoyed that I have a big intercooler that's being covered by the bumper. My feeling is that it will get reasonable flow through the RS bumper cutout, and between the bonnet and the bumper, but I do wonder what more there is to be had out of it. I don't want to lose the middle of my bumper though!

I'm not gonna run more than 1 bar, prob about 12/13 psi. And i really dont wanna lose the front of my bumper - is the pace one gonna really be that bad?
Are there [ERRR] other options i could go for, like Mik3y has got a racetek one that he is well happy - similar dimensions to the pace one but cools way better he said?
thanks alot - info really appreciated.
