hi folks im after some paint for my engine do i just go for some heat proof stuff and whats the best way to prep the block

if ya can, get it bead blasted, not getting the bores blasted though.
then clean it so no grease etc, prime it if ya want then top coat it.
i just degreased mine a couple times, cleaned it , wire brushed it and hammerite it.

remember if you have it blasted you will need to clean it, and that means taking the gub screws out the block to clean the oil ways
