hello guys after along winter of boring body work the day has finally came to paint my rs. i wil be starting it tomorro and i have never sprayed a car before so i was wondering if any1 had any tips dos and donts that kind of thing cheers

dont rush it take ya time with nice thin coats and get a good overlap, also as you come to the end of your stroke flick the spray gun.

ryght thanks. i have just finishd priming the car and there is like the odd bobbly bit in it what can this be with

The old saying "Two thin coats is better than 1 thick coat" apply like crazy here.

With the bobbly bit, I would suggest using 2000 wet and dry to gently take it down. This will also highlight if the surface below hasn't been prepared properly.

cheers for the advice lads the bobbly bits got sorted with wet and dry and my top coat came out amazing. i was going to paint it diamond white again but i went with frozen white instead so glad i did it looks so fresh just for the big build now lol :D

99% of a good paintjob is down to the prep work, prep, prep and prep some more, can't do enough prep work, the painting is the easy bit
