panel filter or induction kit

Postby zetecssooncum on Fri Jun 20, 2008 1:22 pm

i've got a mk 5 1.25l fiesta, i previously had a mk4 and had a k&n 57i induction kit.
but a lot of the advice i've been given for this mk5 model suggests a panel filter will be just as good.
does anyone have any ideas, panel filter or induction kit, which should i choose?

unless you're really upping the power then there's no point in getting a cone (unless it's for the noise). Panel filters will do the job nicely...

It depends what you want from the air filter, if you want it to be noisy and throaty then an induction kit would be best.
But if you are more interested in the health of your engine then a panel filter will do just fine..!

or pannel filter + drilled airbox will make the sounds of the induction kit but still remaining slightly subtle.
