The part you have pictured does look like it should go where you say, however not on the mounts you have there.

The mounts you have pictured look like HCS mounts and the pictured part I have only seen as part of the zetec mount.

Could be wrong though!

Never played really with a cvh so I don't know but the those engine mounts look identical to hcs ones which don't use the illusive part.

it goes on the back mount (near bulk head) between the rubber mount and the craddle, the bit lump part sticks out towards the gear box from the top

if that makes sense mate.

thx petrol head

jay rs mate i dont have an engine as yet but when i do i will be painting the block silver and doing the sump and rocker cover blue.
Im going to wrap everything in bubble wrap tape and rags when i come to lift it into the engine bay then peel it off as i go along to try and minimize scratching it

if the worse happens and i do scratch anything i will just use an airbrush to touch up that area and hopefully it will blend ok.

I managed to fit my painted rear beam and antiroll bar drums etc on my own without scratching them which was a mix of luck and taking my time i think.

When it comes to the engine and gearbox i will put them on a padded trolley and lift the shell over the top of them before lifting them into place which should hopefully give less chance of scratching anything

i welded a new part of a quater panel on the right hand side and a filler cap repair panel on the left hand side and painted the valance black but then decided i didnt like it and even though it wouldent been seen i thought it looked gash so i started stripping it back to bare metal.
when the shells sprayed it will be painted the same colour as the rest of the car

yeah 8 litres  but its not all gone underneath after spraying clear waxoyl into all the sills and panel joins etc i sprayed the undebody sealent inside the rear panels and inside the front doors and tailgate cavity inner wheel arches etc as it helps dampen noise and with waxoyl on both sides of most panels theres less chance of the dreaded tin worm taking hold.
Ive still got to dynamat the whole of the interior floor and bulkhead yet also in a bid too make the car quiter and feel more solid but im not looking forward to the cost involved for that lot.

And for the weather i know exactly what you mean its a pain in the ass
