people with rear disks

Are they honestly worth it? I've got Hi-Spec 300mm 4 Pots up front with front braided hoses and standard mk4 drums. Now to me (I dont really have much experiance with amazing brakes) they certainly do the trick, even more so when they are warmed up and i've never had a trouble coming to a stop.

However I have been able to aquire a complete Focus RS rear setup 280mm which is currently sitting in my garage. To be honest its seen better days but they could be back to their former glory after a refurb. I'm just missing the braided hoses and a suitable hand brake cable.

I know the fact they obviously look better than drums however is all this hassle worth it? Once fitted, am I suddenly going to be speachless at how my braking has improved or am I just going to think "why did I bother wasting my time for such a small performance increase". You cant see my brakes anyway (comps TH) so looks doesn't bother me.

Can people with both front and rear disks give their honest opinions?

Thing is the brakes on the car work well at the moment and I don't want to spend more cash fitting these and then find out they make no difference what so ever :-?

I've also heard that the hand brake is dreadful with rear disks aswell
