Re: Phase 1 ZS: New Whip!
I'm fine for the moment guys.
I'd like parts for the exterior body, door handles etc. any cheap coilovers floating about, items like that really.
I really wanna give her a polish, but it's so cold.

Re: Phase 1 ZS: New Whip!
I'm having trouble sorting out my central locking. I suspected the battery in the key was dead but it's not that at all. Is there a fuse for the central locking? Perhaps I'll need to buy a new key? The central locking works itself but the key doesn't. Anyone know how much a key roughly costs?
Plus front fogs are fooked me thinks. Changed the fuse, must be a wire loose somewhere.

You sure it actually has remote central locking and not just someone's cut a remote key?

Pretty sure all ZS' had RCL and deadlocks.
Have you tried re-programming it? Loads of guides on google for it.

Re: Phase 1 ZS: HID Kits?
I've always wanted a brighter road a head so I want to invest in a HID Kit.
Haven't done so before so I don't know what to look for in one. Is there good and bad kits you can buy? Are they legal?
I've seen some on eBay that I'm looking to buy. Any advise guys?

Phase 1 ZS: HID Kits?
They're not legal, and they don't work very well in Mk5 headlights anyway.
I'd recommend some Osram Nightbreakers instead.

+1 for HIDs in wrong housings are ineffective and dangerous.
+1 for Osram Nightbreakers, if they're good enough to do night-time forest stages on they're good enough for me.

Re: Phase 1 ZS: HID Kits?
Yeah, they lasted about a month
The beam pattern was much better in the projector angel eye headlights, but they looked rather horrid so H4's it was.
Although I went for the black package Halfords Supreme Brilliance bulbs instead of nightbreakers lol

Re: Phase 1 ZS: HID Kits?
Received my bulbs in the post yesterday, although they don't fit. They sent H7 bulbs instead of H4's. Every thing I buy for my car I'm very specific and they still don't get my order right.
Gave her a clean yesterday. Imperial blue looks great once buffed!
I'm gonna buy coilovers after Christmas then final put my wheels on.

Getting the bumpers sprayed and bump strips. I plan to leave the bump strips on, although unsure of the colour.
Colour code them or go black? I'll put photos up later to give you a rough idea of how it looks.
