For real this time.

He rang me earlier to say he'd sourced the parts and had almost finished fitting the kit. I got a call a few minutes ago to say that he'd flamed when in traffic and unfortunately a chap and his guide dog were crossing and the dog got burnt.

In short the dog started barking and a couple of officers who weren't too far away come over to see what was going on. Phil's been taken into custody and looks likely to be charged in connection with the cruelty to animals act, plus having a defective vehicle and maybe something even more serious.

Needless to say, he won't be around for a while (I was his one phone call, parents away). If anyone knows a good solicitor well versed with animal releated law can you let me know.

Be careful out there!

He wasn't overly clear, revving it while in the traffic I guess. He seems in good spirits, let's hope it works out ok :(

Hope he gets himself a good lawyer. Guide Dogs are expensive to train and if he gets stung for a new one, ouch!
