I'm currently running a JBL GTO 1000w sub on a 400w JBL GTO2000 amp, its ok but im not sure how to get the results i want from it. I wanted the kind of bass that you can feel in your chest and stomach. Really punchy. Can anybody help me with the gain settings etc. to get it that way?. thanks for any help.

To set up your amp, turn everything flat (mid positions) on your headunit and turn the gain on the amp right down. Set the volume on the headunit to half, then begin to gently turn up the gain, as soon as you hear any distortion, back the gain off slightly. Done.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.
