please help needed asap regarding turbo

hi anybody help me i am in the middle of buying a turbo conversion for my car i asked the bloke if it would fit my fiesta xr2i 1800 16v zetec he told me it should fit any ford he had the kit on a xr3i please help will it fit on my car i.e is the manifold going to fit ect ect

Sounds a bit dodge to me, you can't just fit it on 'any Ford', I'd steer well clear if I waz you.

ok this is what the kit contains ..... an rs turbo intercooler,fan and rad also all boost pipes a t3 hybrid turbo and any other bits needed to do this conversion including inlet manifold
you still think this sounds doddgy or what

Yes, very as to fit a turbo onto a non-turbo car you really should lower the compression ratio, and seeing the kit is supplied with a T3 hybrid it sounds like it's designed for some higher boost. You could probably get away with 5psi if you were lucky, but then you wouldn't need a T3 hybrid to run that sort of boost.

Then there's the engine management. I'm not 100% sure but I doubt that the ECU from "any Ford" would be able to handle boost control either.

I'm sure others could give you other reasons why this doesn't sound like a good idea.

Who fitted the kit to the XR3I ??
I think your rushing into things a bit mate. You need to do some research on Zetec Turbo's and also get a loan from the banck to pay for a good conversion.
