Please look if your arches rub on bumps
I have solved my problem of my arches rubbing at the rear because of my focus brake set up.
Basically I had a focus rear brake conversion on my car, and the wheels stick out so are dead level with the arch, so it rubbed (a lot) going over humps/bumps, with 5 people in scrubbed constantly, and round corners was a nightmare with even 3 people in.
It helped a lot by rolling my arches, but I still got a little rubbage.
Now the solution I found was suggested by Pez, thank you so much. I asked about if there was any rubber bit that sits in the coils, he suggested Grayston spring assisters. So I searched and found these:
http://www.springassisters.co.uk/
Now I put these in tonight, the ride height isn't affected, but oh my god what a difference, I got no rubbing with 4 people in, down the bumpiest road I could find! Absolute bargain for £18, its saved my arches from rust!!
This could solve rubbing on 16 inch wheels maybe?
And I do believe the handling is slightly improved as well, it feels a little stiffer, and takes the bumps better!

it had RST springs on it, was alright on 15s, when i put it on 17s it sat perfect with the 1.1 in, put the turbo in and it left the wheel (not the tyre) inside the arch, so had to put em in, they ahve been in a bout 18months though so maybe i have to get some new ones

Which specific spring assisters did you buy?
Also, how much stiffer are they? My setup is quite stiff anyway, so I don't want to bite my tongue off on every bump! I'm running 15" alloys with 195/45 tires, on a 50mm drop.
Hope these help save my Eagles F1's though!

Yeah, what sort did you buy?
I've got the big ones that you have to soften with hot water which have a lip in the top & bottom which push fit into a coil of the spring?
Or the sort thats like a 1cm square of rubber which is bent into a coil shape then cable tied in place?
I used to have the first sort in the rear of mine but found it to stiff and tail-happy with my standard tyres. Now've i've got some big alloys on it the handling is nice but under hard cornering the front tyres rub the arch in which case they would be ace on the fronts, however it does say on the packaging of mine not to be used on front suspension?
