After 3 days of reading all posts I have come up with 3 very important question, and I need your help,as I seen that you know what you're saying:
-can I fit any escort rear disc brakes to my FIESTA RS1800 (XR2i 16V 130HP) or just the RS2000 is a match
-is the airfilter produced by BMC (CDA is the model) gonna fit my car,and if so,what type is it best
-and third but not least, can I turbocharge my car by using the setup on other ford's (like the FRST or the Escort)
THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS SITE,INDEED THE ULTIMATE FIESTA MODIFICATION RESOURCE!!!THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! :)

2) yes, with a bit of jiggery pokery

3)yes but you will need aftermarket managment, throttle body route is easier in my experiance

1) Any Mk5 escort rear brakes will bolt up. Disks are fitted to the RS2000, the XR3i (130ps) and the Orion ghia Si (130ps). Mk6 will not fit.

2) Not sure about the air filter. If your seriously considering a zetec turbo though, I would not get a filter until then, as the setup will be different.

3) I think you will need to check up on exactly whats involved. There is an excellent guide on the main page of this site. The fiesta and escort setup are completely different.

Thank you Steve for the answers , I read the front page guide but , I was thinking maybe theres a car fitted with turbo on the market that is a perfect match to the ZETEC :D I was dreaming of course....so the Escort turbo setup could not fit the Fiesta Zetec? Can someone give me a precise list of parts needed for the turbo conversion (if you could give me price, brand and model would be perfect :) ) Thank you very much mates!

to be as simple as possible....

fezza rs turbo head, manifold, turbo manifold, pipes, an ecu to run it all, megasquirt is good.

it can be done fairly easily, i have helped several people do it, if your lucky and get a crashed frst then u have all the bits you need more or less. just buy a decent a/m ecu

Gcodin, There is a zetec fitted with a turbo. It's the Focus RS. It would probably be a pain to get hold of the setup though, and there are plenty of parts available to perform the conversion at a cost. Try and avoid a ZVH if you can, these were more byassed towards the ERST, as they were fitted with MFi. Have a search for the username 'Heeman10'. He has converted a 1.8 zetec to turbo. I can personally vouch for the fact that it really goes very well.

The Ford EEC-IV system (OFAB, OFAC) that is fitted to the FRST is an excellent system, capable of easily powering a Zetec Turbo. Plus far more advanced than alot of aftermarket systems.
