Possible Question for Bassboy...

Postby Faith on Wed May 23, 2007 7:43 pm

Right well i have only noticed this recently but if i put pressure on my sub or if i hit a bump in the road the sub seems to vibrate,

As in, the cone actually moves really very fast and makes the bass thump noise to, also it thumps once if i flash my headlights!! :-? wtf..

all the connections are tight in the back of the sub (built in amp) and theres no way it could have been connected into the light circuit im positive because ive never had this problem in the 2 years the subs been in my car..

Anyone shed any light??

alright mate...have u checked the earth on the chassis? might have come loose? sounds like there is a faulty connection somewhere...something else to try is try another sub/amp in the car to see if the problems continues...

and when u say hit a bump on the road...the sub seems to vibrate...as in the sub pops a little for example?

ok will check that and the connections in the back of the stereo, i know the earth for the sub is nice and tight and secure.

Basically its as if you have got some music with a really really fast beat and the subs cone moves backwards and forwards for roughly 2-3 seconds and makes the 'bass' noise/thump, it kind of reverberates (sp)
