Power Cap...

Postby M1K3Y_B on Wed Feb 13, 2008 7:29 pm

Been looking at this...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Speaker-1Farad-Power-Capacitor-Car-AMP-Cap-1-0F-Display_W0QQitemZ140205183802QQihZ004QQcategoryZ14931QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem#info

And just wanted to know how you wire it up in my system?
Would it be any good?
Anyone had one?

As i don't really want to be forking loads out.

I am looking as i recently realized that my lights dim when i listen to my system a little louder than i normally do

You wire them in-line into the main power cable supplying the amp. They're not really needed unless your running massive power amps, the idea is that they iron out the high current draw moments in the music.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Never seen one with little wires on! It's probably to run the silly digital gauge, red and black suggest positive and negative. Yes, main power cable to the main terminals.

They're a waste of money, chives buy them as they 'look cool' in your boot. Pointless if your just running an average sub and amp.

no problem

word of advice though...uprate TB3 which is basically - uprating the charging lead from alt to bat, bat to chassis and chassis to engine...you will see a big difference just by doing that...

also its worth double checking that your battery is ok
