2.0 with lowered c/r

how is the c/r lowered?
skimming std pistons?
forged pistons?
decomp plate??
if its been done tidly then good power wil be achieved if its on std pistons etc then it wont last long not on 18psi!
bit more info would help

3mm Decomp plate
ceramic coated pistons
Why a T28? Its a Pulsar T28, Pretty good, Holds 18psi at 7000rpm
What other info do you need?

It all depends on the compression ratio etc
I did like the work on your site when I read it awhile back, but just because its 18PSI doesnt mean it will make alot more bhp. Try and compare your engines spec to someone else with a ZT (Such as Heman although his is a 1.8, might help for comparason).
Try my link:

It may be somewhat old now as he has altered things but it should help even if only a little. The best option for you would be to put it on a Rolling Road, what bhp do you think it should have?

Doesnt really say much, Est 230bhp
Usually a 2.0 16v turbo at around 9psi is 200bhp ish, At 1 bar 250bhp ish, I am at 1.2 bar. On a sunny GTIR you get around 330bhp at 1.2bar. I know mine isnt a gtir but would have thought I would have got a similar figure, I used the same turbo on my 200SX running 16psi, With a few other small mods I got 280bhp at the wheels

how much does a 3mm decomp plate lower the cr to?
also i wouldnt run the standard pistons even if they are ceramic coated to 18psi. not a dig at you, if it's wrking ok fair play mate, but if it were mine, i wouldnt push it that far
also, arp bolts? standard cams? what exauhst manifold? rod, standard? stress relieved?
and sorry to sound dumb lol but whats a HO EFI manifold?
at a guess i'd say you could be looking at around 250-270bhp maybe? if you use 18psi?
Is it running on megasquirt now? using ms on my car, n/a at the mo tho running throttle bodies, but currently building a zetec turbo up, so gona use it for that also.
Hows it like to work with, with the turbo?

CR is about 8.2:1
Focus RS cams
The pistons are std ceramic coated, Look at a CA18DET, They are cast pistons and can take 18psi easily.
ARP rod bolt, Std rods which I think will be the weak link, Custom manifold ish, A turbo technics manifold with a zetec flange
HO EFI manifold, RS1800 styleee
Megasquirt is running, Its easy to work with on a turbo, YOU NEED to monitor for Det, Ive got a det alarm and I can Also listen to the engine through my head unit
It can pull up a hill at 100mph, My mates 360bhp can only pull 110mph up the same hill. It wasted std impreza's at 13psi.
I know its not the same engine buts its a similar principle, Look at these power figures from a SR20DET
http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=123910
And these from a CA18DET

sounds good to me mate
how do you mean you can listening to the engine though your head unit?
oh also, what spark plugs do you use on yours? Was gonna get my head machined to take cosworth ones, do you use them or focus rs?cheers

I have the knock sensor connected to the head unit, I can hear the engine that way, Focus RS plugs fitted, Oh and a warbro 255 fuel pump

JayZ :did you have to add extra bits to the ms for the knock sensor?
hows it wired to the head unit, sounds cool
The knock sensor isnt connect to the MS, If it does connect to the MS you do need an extra circuit, I have 2 multichangers and they have to run though a swith box, The switch box has a pair of inputs, All ive done is connected the knock sensor to one of the inputs
Jonezy :it about £220 for steel forged rods or summaty like that, try on ebay and import a set from america for the focus 2ltr,
I think ive seen em, When or if this engine goes bang I am gonna get a set of forged pistons and forged rods for my spare engine, Seen em on ebay.com for peanuts

Mine (1.8L ZT) is ~170 HP at crank @ 8Psi. Focus RS plugs. Running 375 cc/min injectors. No intercooler! With all 3 standard CVH silencers/backbox (I don't know the word, sorry) @ 40mm.!!! C/R 7,8:1
It wasted few standard C20XE Astras and KR,ABA Golf GTIs.
0-60 -> 8,3 s. (It's 1100 kg. Mk3 Orion)
Avinitlarge,
2.0L ZT with higher C/R like yours will make easy 200HP @ less than 1Bar boost.
