hi guys i'd like to know how much power can i expect by modifyng my 1.3 HCS motor, since swap to 2.0 Zetec isn't really an option as i live in Italy (read: reaaaally illegal). so...what can i do?

to be honest there is not alot out there for the HCS engine, an uprated cam, air filter, exhaust are about the limits unless you want to spend huge amounts of money. :)

mmh...and what about putting there some bigger throttle bodies? or a bigger carburettor? i'm a noob of mechanic so i'm not sure even if it's possible :bonkers: .

i dont know whether your engine is fuel injected or carbs, but i suppose some porting of the throttle body, the head, maybe release a few horse power, but your chasing shadows mate, its not worth the effort. :wink:

You could add the full works to a HCS and it might go up by 1bhp if you're lucky.

You would have to spend a fortune on work and gain very little on the 1.3

Not worth it really.

exactly what tweek said ive had a 1.3hcs for 2 years now. just drill the airbox get a nice sound from it but thats all u can do really [ERRR] otherwise its just a waste of money
