power

i have a 1995 carb fed mk3, 1.3. what kind of power? i hear figures of ether 60 bho or 75bhp. any ideas?

also it seems to have got a bit slower off the line lately. power used to be instant now it seems to die down a little before revving up, and its only done 27k.

im also having troube starting. every morning b4 work and as i leave work, the battery is flat, this started a while ago then stopped, and has just started recently. the battery is also only a year old? any ideas, the alternator is working fine too.

1.3 has 60bhp

sounds like either your battery or alternator is'nt working as it should, could also be something drawing power from the battery when the engines off, ie lights or radio on

had my carb fed 1.3 dynoed at 68 BHP.with cat back exhaust and bolt on filter.sounds like a dodgy alternator as it aint charging your battery properly so its always nigh on flat when you drive it
