Postby si 16valver on Thu May 03, 2007 9:05 pm

had a look at this on ebay and wondered if it would make a difference and if its worth the money which is quite alot for me.. the guy says it plugs into the end of the ecu mine being the deep one as its the 2.0ltr conversion i have a full exhaust and induction kit on and have been told a chip that been mapped for performance really helps especially if you put mildly uprated cams in what you lot reckon

£85 is very cheap to chip your car. Would expect to pay three times that to do it properly. It will make a difference but N/A cars don't respond as well to being chipped as forced induction ones.

I think it gives you like 8bhp extra power or something. Personaly i think you would be better off saving up more and getting some cams or an exhaust manifold.

Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

youde be looking at the same effect as superchip blues on a N/A engine.. helps with smoothing out flat spots, but ive drove a 8v efi 3i with and without one of the blues, i noticed the slight response, she thought gave it forced induction..

i was gonna get one but didnt bother in the end, there alright but as said.. money better spent elseware
