Got a issue with my Fiesta rs turbo,hopefully someone can help?What its doing is,on idle,and while coming off the throttle,its revving at 3k,and not shutting the revs down.Sometimes on idle,it sits at 1k,then will shoot up to 3k.Had it looked at,and was told it was a throttle position sensor.Finally found one,changed it,and hasn't made any difference.He also reckons the ISV is fine,s he unplugged it and the car died?

have you had a look at the throttle cable might just have a wee kink in it mine was like that i just cable tied it to straighten it up a bit and its a big difference

Was it a new TPS you fitted?

No,it wasn't.Couldnt find one for love or money,so finally found a secondhand one

Cant find a air leak,got another problem now.When its cold,takes two or three goes to start it,if I do a short journey,and have to start again,it really struggles.Getting to the stage im draining the battery trying to fire it up.The fuel pump does sound noisy,it does the usual surge on the key.Is there two pumps in the tank?I know when I had a 1600i ghia orion,it had the pump in the top of the tank,and the one underneath,and which one is likely to be at fault?

Just one pump mate but there's an inhibitor box and a wee electrical box ,take them out as they are gash just replace the inhibitior with a good bit of fuel pipe iv never seen the box as all the pumps iv bought have already had it took out
