Well it has been a long time since i have been on here..... First of all i would like to say a massive thanks to JayRS as he was a top bloke helping me out gettting the car running. also a massive thanks to beefchops too for supplying me with an engine perfectly described in the ad.

Well update time.....!!

Managed to get the car running after massive amounts of problems with wrong CPS and boss's also the coil pack too... Finally all sorted with a swap of wire and she fired straight up :)

So everything sorted. Gave her a service, new tappets and she ran like a dream... I love Chatter  :D :D So off i went to RS Central day....

Was a great show met a few faces :) and saw a good standard of fiesta's...

Then the trip home.... Was taking a gently trip home with my Dad and Mate both in ERST's when some chive in a chicken paxo.... was been a total C**K so decided to put him in his place... (red mist) After seen him off was a knocking nosie coming from the bottom end.... :x :x So limped car home totally Pi$$ed off!!

Next day decided to take the sump off and have a look see what was what.... So off come the sump only to see my worst nitemare..!! big end knocking...!! so took off the big end to see... No bearing...!! GREAT!
So pushed the piston up and there it was the 2 bearings together.... looked like a bit of tin foil...

Next was to measure the crank to see how bad the damage was... and surprise surprise it was fcuked....! would of needed as re grind to .75 (was already .5)

So the hunt began for either a crank or another engine.... After getting a few prices i took the decision to get another lump which i got from beefchops :D

So yet again DTR was having an engine change...!!! So bank holiday monday the engine was swapped....

Next show was FITP.... Spent a good few hours washing and cleaning and what i thought was a good show... Saw more old faces and had a good laugh...

As a mate of mine wanted a few pics of his car we decided to have a bit of a photo shoot...

So here are a few pics of the car as she stands now

Thanks for reading

Well as i havent updated the thread for quite a while i thought it was about time i did....

I have purchased another set of wheels.... :)

Image

Also instaled my dials.....

Image

Image

Everything was running smoothly i was in the process of talking to TOTD on getting the car set up fueling all sorted when out of no where... the car was making a tapping nosie, So took the decision to whip the rocker cover off and have a look, found that one of the tappets had failed... so replaced them for only to start the car back up with the same tapping happening, fitted the guages and see that we had oil pressure so that seemed fine...

After talking to a few people it is common for the cam to fail once a tappet goes... So my mate had a spare cam so i changed that over and then..... NOUT... Typical,

A mate of mine said to take it to his garage so he can have a listen and a look at it so thats what i did... Limped the car on its way over but as soon as the oil got hot the pressure dropped right off so much as on idle the oil pressure light was flickerling...!!! :o :o

Got the car home in the end and just put it back in the garage...

Time to think about rebuilding the old 2i Lump like i planned but alot sooner than i thought....! Gutted....

Anyway here are a few pics of the car with the new 'Track' Wheels fitted...

will get some on saturday as im off chilling..

makes me wanna get another set of wheels for my fezzy and in white and start tracking that again it wasnt too bad at donny when i first took it out paced
alot cars like scobbies etc but i so needed skinnyer wheels to chuck in to tight corners something like 7.5 max width or even 8s to strech it wud be gud and in 15s sometimes wide wheels on a fezz isnt the best in throwing into corners cuz of the offset and wheel size..

i also love urr... gauge holder i like sexy time lol where did u get that from ? if u dont mind me asking ?

im just so into my golf now in track events aswell i done 3 in the golf and its done so so well better than the fezzy just lacks in power 160bhp max fezzy just sits there alone lol i miss 280bhp l wonder what its like ....

I cant remember where i got it i think it was from here... but i do remember a group but on them on the forum either come in carbon effect or satin black i think..

I have always loved the look of your car... What Brakes you running on it at the minute...?

Hello all...

Its been a long long time since i have updated this thread and thought i would keep it a bit fresh...

Basically once i put the Stg 3 T3 on it was just down hill from there losing oil pressure... so decided to just take it off the road and start a new engine rebuild set up for hard fast road and track abuse..

Spec i am thinking of going for...

Forged Pistons and rods
Stg 3 head (already got)
Stg3 T3 (already got)
Cam and solid lifters
Uprated injectors (beiges max out @ 200bhp) So not sure there
Omex 600
Paddle Clutch
Front mount (already got)

Basically want engine built to handle 250bhp+ but run a safe 220/230 bhp

Here are a few pics as the car stands now....

I will be at most of the shows this year in my RS2000 Would be good to see a few old faces and maybe a few new ones...
