Re: project "JPH" 2.1 ZT 358bhp-365ftlb
thanks for all the nice comments
here's progress with the cam cover
had the old breather location plug welded and smoothed
then a nice layer of primer to show any imperfections
something i've been looking forward to seeing,
the kit was riveted underneath and bonded on top
then any gaps where the arches have been trimmed for the big wheels
have been filled with sealer

Re: project "JPH" 2.1 ZT 358bhp-365ftlb
well the fiesta finally left the bodyshop
the next time its here will be when its fully built up
massive thanks to bridgend ford for putting up with me for sooo long,
but this is'nt a credit card project (just whats left of my pay every month)
all the help and advice i've had at different times throughout the bodywork process
from my work mates has been amazing,
its been a massive learning curve for me doing as much as i can myself
heres some photo's leaving the bodyshop
used the winch to get the fiesta on
here she is in her new secure home,
loads of room inside
finally got hold of two brand new early ford badges which came in light blue
the different to the new style ford badge

Re: project "JPH" 2.1 ZT 358bhp-365ftlb
thanks for your kind words
small update on a few parts that have arrived,
as i've not done a thing to the car for two months now
except get all my fiesta parts into the lockup with the car
just need to go through all the parts and sort whats to go on the car and whats for sale
firstly got hold of RS accessory rear lights
one side is uk and the other is european
so i have no reverse light
thanks to tom peters i got hold of a new vin plate, as the original is badly marked and dented
its not 100% identical but was for the mk3 fiesta as there were 8 different versions that could apply to the mk3 fiesta
i'd rather something slightly different and still ford than a aftermarket copy
just need to sort it being stamped from behind
also thanks to tom again as i have a set of new side repeaters
i cant remember wether i have mk3 or m3.5 wings as they have different holes for the square or oval side repeaters
as i want this to look OEM
i want square side repeaters to go with the FRST bodykit and bonnet
not sure wether to keep ambers or go for clear square's yet, as i have new clear front indicators?!?
next up a few months ago i had my main car loom in the engine bay braided by paul cheshire
so recently i met up with paul at the RS national day @ donnington race course
again i'm mega happy with the results of my brand new pectel T2 engine harness covered in braid and labled,
brand new connectors and boots aswell all made up to custom measurements for my setup
cant recommend him enough

Re: Diary of "JPH" 2.1 ZT (the rebuild 30/8/10)
RS rob :after going over the old ford tsb for this upgrade i realised there was a different bracket for the job,
no longer available, but after a few phone calls i got hold of one
a comparison shot, new bracket on the left
was an extra spring i got hold of aswell, so thats the pedal box all ready to go
as it has the manual clutch rachet, new bushes etc
can these parts still be bought??? need some asap
