i got a quote from them, then got a quote from nukar... nukar pretty much cut the quote in half and started boasting how much better they are than i.d.morris.

really wish id used i.d.morris now, would of paid more but its worth it if your happy with the results

not done much to the car lately so not alot to report,

last year i used steel wheels for winter in matt black, they looked crap, so i thought id give them a bit of a spruce up,nothing special but i dont want to ruin my alloys with all the pot holes.

this took me around 3 hours :D

im happy with the results, the polished steel is alot more shiney than they appear in the photos, i still have to compound the laquer up :D

I think they will look ok on but I think the profile of the tyres ruins the look :/ and that's not low  :bonkers: :aviator:

i cant have low profile tyres on because it would defeat the object of winter wheels for potholes, and i know if i was to get low profiles on and had done this to a set of alloys id end up liking them too much to use for winter

dont think people seem to understand that these are winter wheels, so he doesnt ruin the standard wheels in the snow potholes etc that occurs in winter. instead of boring steelies he has tarted them up a bit, done a good job. so now the car will look better in winter but they still serve the purpose of winter wheels

been having some cutting out issues lately with the car, a mechanic i used to use told me that my engine and every hcs engine is crap and they blow up when they reach 60,000 miles he followed this by saying the sierra 1.8 cvh was a load of crap and people throw them away :-? i know hcs's aint the fastest of engines but from what ive heard and experienced they are pretty reliable.he's got to be the most negative person ive ever come across :x anyway i had a quick look today and found the little flap thing in the airbox. i was going to take the whole spout on the airbox off and run some hosing from the wheel arch to the box but then i found a button. i pushed the button in and released the flap and it now holds the flap open allowing more air in :) took it for a quick run round the block from cold and it runs perfectly now, seems slightly quicker aswell :D

What a load of toss, I had a HCS engine in my old escort and that had 140000 miles on the clock and I can bet the engine was never looked after (I know I didnt lol). The engine was out lasting the bodywork lol
