nutsack to all you pricks on here, im fudgekin sick of the s**t on this site, is everyone scared that if my herny ford didnt make it with his own bare hands then you cant use it! so what if he has put m3 mirrors on his car, surely they are less common than people putting mk3.5s on their cars on this site, and i notice that a lot of people have got european stlye rear clusters now, he is doing the car the way he wants to, what makes you think that he will grow out of the stage and turn his car into a drone, hmmm a 2i kit, mondeo wheels, exiting!!! maybe he reads redline and fastcar instead of fast and performance ford, and sees that styling and interior mods are just as important that tuning in other peoples eyes, a lot of people on here think there is only one side to modyfying, i say let him get on with it, its your opinion against his, no one has the right to say it looks crap or not

i'm not saying there is anything wrong with m3 mirrors and lexarse lights, i just don't like the interior spraying, it would of been alot nicer if they were the cars colour and i really ain't arsed about engine mods really, i am a body man myself and i read fast car and redline but i just think he could of spent his money more wisely like getting the essentials first like wheels, exhaust and suspension sorted then gotta the lil bits afterwards

90 quid for a big bore 4 been ripped off abit mate, this is turning out liek every other ch@v car you see in towns, all the interior sprayed up, standard grey bumpers, still on steelies, as high as a kite and a back box, totally wrong way of doing things, like i have said before you should have got wheels, a good backbox(not a big bore 4) and some lowering springs instead of wasting money on ch@v mods

the_hammerite_avenger :Another thing, i HATE people who spray interiors with a passion, you will soon get tired of driving around with it blinding you in one eye !
All your really guilty of is doing things in the wrong order, you should have lowered it and bought a nice set of wheels for it first, THEN added m3s, rear lights, and exhaust, PECO are crap, you wil learn that, RAGE, savage, scorpian are the best budget ones.
http://www.potn.com is good for things.
Kind of contradictory to your last post!

people shouldnt really start taking the piss outa other peoples cars, because at the end of the day its theirs not urs. if they want to add these "chavvy" modds let them. theyre the ones who have to drive the car, and if u want to laff at them go ahead, because im sure theres alot of ppl who laff at your car aswel (even if you like it)
But on the other hand i can see where people are coming from saying he should have waited and saved for better things. because ive had my fiesta for nearly a year and its standard appart from some alloys. ive saved and bought what ive wanted and ive also saved and realised when i had the money i'd gone off what i was originally saving for, so i got something better
and about the back box in my eyes he may have been ripped, but thats only because i got a 3" scorpion cat bac for £70 (2nd hand tho, but near perfect condition)
If i can give any advice to this guy tho, you should think about what you want on your car and then buy it, rather than just buying on impulse. and also dont add things on until you hav done the 1st steps (like was stated earlyer in the thread, alloys then suspension... etc etc)

Let people make their own mistakes. A bit of constructive criticism is all good, but if you're just going to slate someone because it's not to your taste, dont comment, dont waste your time making someone feel like an idiot. This is how forums become pants... like ukfn

Its true, on this website people think that a fiesta should have its standard bumpers with a splitter on it. Also if an established member on here were to do something slightly different he is unlikely to get the critisicm that the boy onthis thread has got. There is such a thing as change although not many people seem to like it.
Example - someone is selling a customised bumepr, but instead of getting offers he gets people disgusted view of the bumper. Really pisses me off. Let people try and sell things without you giving your views to try and inhibit the sale of the bumper!
This may come across as harsh, slate me if you must, but let people do what they want.
I was almost swayed into going down the si bumper cossie splitter route cos it is popular on here. But i dont want a car that everyone has. Give people pointers but dont put them down.
Everyone has there own taste, just like some men prefer different sorts of women.

hehe what an amusing topic!! some of you say that we all stick to the 2i kits and ford bumpers, mondeo wheels etc and that its boring and common, but how common are lexus lights, m3mirrors, reflective interiors, gay hubcaps and other ch@vvy mods ey!!? tbh it annoys me because they are'nt his own ideas anyway,he has to use a flippin max pants mannual!
i remember when a ch@v in his 'pimped' up fiesta heap of poo stole my jacking covers of my mint FRST, sprayed them himself and put them on his car when he only lives down the road!! they just have no idea!! got them back btw and made sure he diddnt do it again!
not saying this lad is like this but you see this all the time.....

so basically your saying - its boring and un-original to do the lexus lights and m3 mirrors,
the other guys saying - its boring and un-original to put 2i kits on and cossie wheels etc.
so what ISN'T boring and un-original? what has not been done yet?
who gives a flying f**k do what the f**k you like if you ask me

the_hammerite_avenger :Too many people scared to step away from the norm, ie: 1.1/1.3 with xr2i bodykit, escort gti wheels, mk3.5 mirrors. mk4 wiper arm and clear rear lights, for the the fear of not being accepted.
Sorry, I haven't really read the topic but I do have a general idea of the moans and groans within it.
However, about being scared to step away from the norm, I disagree. Yes, there are other ways of making a nice Fiesta, however, I believe that what you class as the norm, also happens to be a good recipe for a good-looking Fiesta; hence why many people follow this route.
Personally, my ideal Fiesta is a bog standard XR2i 16v. I like standard-looking XRs and RSs. If I was to do anything to it, I'd probably then look at other Ford parts for it. Ooh, Escort GTi alloys look good, so why not? MK3.5 mirrors are certainly a good alternative to the MK3 ones if you don't happen to like any of the aftermarket varieties.
MK4 wiper arm isn't for me, however I can see the appeal. Why not do it? If you're going for a smooth looking up-to-date MK3/3.5, then it's an ideal upgrade. Why knock it? Clear rear lights - They're always going to be liked by a majority of people because they are different without being crap, so for people who don't like the orange, or may be even the red of the original rear lights, they're perfect. These people that fit them probably prefer them over the Lexus-style jobs too, so why should they fit anything different? Just to please someone who dislikes the way all these Fiestas look the same? Ever thought that even though there may be a number of Fiestas on this site that all have the same styling, that the car is probably very unique-looking (without looking like a hideous (sp?) monster) where they live.
I don't believe it has anything to do with being accepted or not, it's just human nature that a lot of people are bound to agree on liking something that is very neutral, but still very attractive in terms of a modified car/Fiesta.
PS. I prefer standard rear lights and MK5 RS2000 alloys over Escort GTi ones

The car shows its just like one huge line of xr2is/RS turbos when 50% of them are 1100/1300s
what do you expect? what you just listed makes the car look better than standard, doesnt cost the earth, isnt as much hassle as putting a full blown bodykit on it and all those parts are easy to come by...
dont see the point slating someones car when they are attempting the work themselves, fair enough expect some crticism but some people on this site are taking the piss now

Wow this is a bit of an intresting post!
IMO i dont like the ideas that you have come up with it just isnt to my taste, i like the factory look but will a few suttle mods done here and there!
BUT the work that u have carried out does seem to be of a high standard ie the spraying of the interior parts, u took time to flat down, prime and spray!
cheers
