Jon, You could take the opportunity to drop the engine a bit, to move the weight lower in the shell.

Re: project:UFO
drive shafts done a bit risky being white but will see how it goes lol
also a used ,standard focus rs clutch which is off to Budapest for a cheeky rebuild
im going to fit the shafts tomorrow and see if they hit anywhere..if not then i can get the gearbox mount welded in and the rebuild can commence .. also a rear defuser/flat rear floor is under way

turns out he makes/rebuilds them.. for a really good price he will rebuild a standard one and make a six paddle plate to handle 400+ bhp. ..so going to give it a go

Mmmmm, proper tuning stuff
Is there much difference between the potential of your head there (which looks like a silver top to me?) and a black top or ST170 head?

it is a silvertop, well once the heads back its going off again to have the big valves fitted. as for a comparison between the different type i could comment but mine looks much nicer lol

Re: project:UFO
so the engine spec so far...
86mm bore
m12 head bolts
wossner forged pistons
pec steel rods
mls head gasket
ported head
stainless big valves
standard cams at the mo
650cc siemens injectors
custom inlet
custom exhaust manifold
stage 3 t3 turbo ( for now )
focus rs clutch/box
once its back together it will be back off to JKM to see what the turbo can produce as thats the next limiting factor..

What I meant was is there scope for more flow with the same work if you'd modified a black top or ST170 head to fit your silver top bottom end? Or would the results be exactly the same? Obviously as standard the black top flows better, and the ST170 even more so.

Re: project:UFO
I recently purchased a stage 3 t3 turbo from CR turbos and was told by them it was good for up to 280 bhp ? Not sure if that helps ?
Ps, looks like it's coming along nicely !
