who, me or the car? lol
yeah its never good when someone wrecks an old car of yours, that 2000E of mine i tried to track down again, it went to ireland, was sold to the guys brother, then was wrapped round a tree!
you musta seen it at fitp the same year i was there, i bought it in april 07, so the last time it was at fitp was when pictured above in 06' and i beleive it was there the year before sporting tsw vooodoo's and for sale stickers in the windows (got lots of old pics of it going way back, i traced old owners)

Good luck with that, the 16's are probably the rarest size, hardly any ever come up, I was lucky to have got mine along with the car web I bought it! Looking for a set of rs500 alloys for a change, but I won't be parting with the rs7s lol

Re: Project White : Fiesta RS Turbo *wee bit more 18.5.12*
right.. so today was the day, half 9 start to get this ball rolling..
got over and got the crane out..
started to strip the bumpers lights etc, with my hired help and provider of muscle and engine cranes, scott..
wheels off, exhaust, driveshafts out and general carnage..
lots of pissing about and dismantling later.. engine gives up the fight and comes out..
and there we have it.. nice empty bay..
me getting in about the bay fitting hoses and bits and bobs..
and then again after very much messing about and a nightmate lining up the mounts etc.. the engine went into its new home, and i took this one as we packed up for the day..
so all we need to do is the wiring, plumbing and re-connecting everything up again tomorrow, had to stop because i had to head to the pub to work (but not without bringing the laptop so i could update lol)
the rest will be done tomorrow....

Right well.. After a lot of putting back together.. It's in! Got Broon to take a vid first time I turned the key..
Still bits and bobs to do, but it lives, reversed it out along the drive and back in again, all I can do for now but at least it's now mobile!

Cheers guys, it will be back with me on Monday, complete with MOT, didn't need much done, rear wheel bearing, front suspension bearing of some sort, front brake flexi hoses secured (woops!) and some water in the washer bottle (double oops..)
After that all it needs is tax and it's ready for the road, all in under a month

Re: Project White : Fiesta RS Turbo *it lives!!*
Hi again, no pictures this time but an update nonetheless!
took it in for MOT friday just there (25th) and it failed on a couple of daft things, which were..
"Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid" washer bottle was cracked, got replaced with spare
"offside rear (stalk) statutory seatbelt of the wrong type" strange one, all the sockets & the lap belt + 1 seat belt in the back were the wrong type, square type. and the rest of the car was the correct type. was swapped out with matching ones from the other car
"(both front) brake pipe inadequately supported" Hadn't clipped them in, so they got clipped in. easy
"offside front (top strut bearing) steering system excessively tight" apparently there was NO strut bearing fitted at all, so that got fitted, bit worrying, but sorted now!
"nearside rear wheel bearing rough when rotated" simple, it got replaced.
also had them replace both gearbox driveshaft seals as they were leaking, most likely from being disturbed during the engine swap.
anyway, got it all sorted and got it back on Tuesday, took the seats out, cleaned the dash and all the plastics, hoovered the carpet, picked the best of the seats, cleaned them, hoovered them and fitted them.
Then today, switched insurance, taxed it, stuck my stereo in, put the mondeo away for the summer.. and took the fiesta out
what can i say, more than happy with it and all in time for the show on sunday, not a bad turn around in a month if you ask me! all i have to do now is polish it like crazy and get some pics of the finished article, but for the time being.. its Mission Complete!
