Pros and cons of an LSD gearbox!?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of changing to an LSD gear box?

And do they go straight on a zetec engine?

Pro's -
Will help you put the cars power down.
Improved cornering (accelerating from apex).
Transforms the car.

Con's -
Finding a good one can be tricky

gives more traction when taking off and prevents torque steer

I've always wondered how the LSD prevents torque steer. It doesn't loose the energy being transmited, just transfers it better?
