quadrant replacement?
sometimes when i push the clutch pedal down sometimes it just goes bang and pushes right to the floor? i have to wait for the feel of it latching on to something before i know it will pull the cable.
i assume that this is the ratchet on the quadrant worn?
its a 1994 M reg 16v si so i assume it wont be the same part as the pre 02-92 parts... or are they all the same..
the reason i asked this is because on my last si which was a 95 M reg it had like a threaded rod sticking through the front of the pedal arm with a white nut on it.. this Si hasent got this one and apperes the same as an old 1.3 K reg LX i had??
dont worry, the cars a non runner and im sorting it for road use so its not posing a problem for driving.. as the Bic™ aint even got an engine in it yet.
but it needs sorting.. clutch cable is fine even tho i will proberly replace it there doesent seem anything apparently wrong with it.
if anyone knows the part number for the item im after and have replaced it before, please let me know because ones on ebay at the moment and if its the same code, ill snap it up.

good guide mate, i dunno if i want to go get a new pedal tho, how much did all the parts cost if you already said in that thread i must have missed it.
Might grab a pedal out of another car tho instead of just getting a quadrant
