Question about iB5 vs MTX75

Postby wywywywy on Tue Aug 10, 2004 9:05 pm

Hi all,

I've just done a search, and... I found that some are using the iB5 with over 170bhp and no problem at all, but on some Escort forums I read that the iB5 is going to explode after around 150bhp?

So how good is the iB5?

Basically I would like around 180bhp in the future, should I upgrade to MTX75 (pita...) or stay with my revised iB5?

This is an Escort Mk6 by the way.

Many thanks.

might be worth having a look on the forums http://www.ffoc.co.uk. I know the 1.8 and 2.0 focus' use the mtx-75 and ib5, cant remember which uses which the but I know the one in the 1.8 reaches 60 in 2nd and the 2.0 doesn't. theres a few big-ish power focus' so may be some info on them there
