Can you adapt the front caliper/disc setup of a xr2i to fit the rear of the xr2i?
I dont know if its been done before or not but surely you can get caliper mounting brackets?

Kris.

all well and good in a rally car!

but there is 2 minor details to note with a hydrolic handbreak as to y they are not suitable for a road car!

1 - NO locking mech! (ie fly off)

2 - NOT ROAD LEGAL!

tough one, you probably could though its gonna cost and a some one off manufactured parts. i would imagine you probably wont notice the difference after all the hassle either, unless your car is heavily modified in the engine department. If you are serious about wanting rear discs a better starting point would be using the rear discs of say a cosworth or any other car which has rear discs

probably a really stoopid question but won't the brakes be too heavily biased towards the rear of the car if you have 'front' 2i discs front and rear? :-?

you can adjust the bias though yes the rear would be overly braked. drums are used for a reason, the fiesta is too light/underpowered to warrant discs at the back.
