Gear shifting needs to be fast and precise, so I researched alot on this.
B&M is really expensive. Don't need a beatiful quikshift so I bought the rallydesign one:
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/pr ... ts_id=2011

£44.5 plus vat and shipping is a bargain for what you get!

Also you can mod the linkage so it feels right when shifting:
(Check the bottom of this link under "How to reduce the play and friction How to reduce the play and friction in a front wheel drive gear linkage. in a front wheel drive gear linkage.
")
http://www.zetecinside.com/xr2/gearbox.htm

I've not yet fitted either of them. Need to spend a week on the FRST to get it all sorted out :x August is my only spare time :x :x :x

After playing with a few of th equickshift kits I have to say although the B&M kit is relatively expensive it is by far the best

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

The Fiesta quick shift is the same as the Escort Mk3 and 4 kit.... you can adapt a std Puma linkage to fit (very easy to do). I have a B&M on mine (as said above the Escort kit) and the feel is 100% spot on and the difference on gear change is very noticable compared to std
