Quinn direct - New Driver

Seem s**t hot!!

After passin my test on saturday, i've been looking for insurance, and got quite a shock when an Endsleigh quote went from £931 from confused.com to £1500+ when i tried to buy it. Scumbags! Seems i got part of the form wrong where it asks how long you have held licence for, (apparantly provisional doesn't count) so i've held mine for just 1 day!

anyway managed to get a quote from Quinn direct for £1200.60, still more than i wanted to pay (It's a damned 1.1) :x but seems the best i can find so i took it.

Anyway seems like a decent policy to me:

"No modifications/adaptations to increase top speed, performance or acceleration" This means they don't car about exterior/interior mods then?

and also an drive other cars extension in all policies, will have to double check but i think i may be insured in other peoples cars as long as i have permission?

P.S anyone know how long an insurance certificate will take, so i can get tax and put car on the road :D

I'd check with them about the exterior mods thing and also the driving other cars as if something happens you don't wanna be up sh!t creek! the insurance certificate should only take a day or two to come through.

Quinn direct are the best i reckon for first time drivers. The first year is always painful on the pocket.

When i passed my test , the quote to insure the xr2i was £1560 3rd party TF. (£125 a month)

12 months later it dropped to £590.

£50 a month - result. :Q
