right i may need a new gear box... SEE OTHER POST!

so was wandering what gear box would be suitable for a high 190 - 200bhp fiesta, but give it quicker acceleration! not bothered about 140mph+ top end, just more acceleration really!

or would a combination of lots of diff boxes give a better box? if so what from what box?

Uhhm, probably FRST or ERST (slightly longer iirc) with an LSD in mate :)

Escort GTi is slightly longer but you can't use a rear-mount starter, so most iB5s are out of the window for you.

Uprated BC from an RS1800/XR2i 16v will give you roughly 126mph at 6,750rpm in 5th, so that's really too short and buzzy for most people to live with.

im not too bothered about top end tho! aint going to get a chance to legaly use it ever so may as wlll just have all out acceleration! did een consider a 1.4 cvh box.........

only thing being i would like an lsd or atb at some point so the need to crack open a box if it aint an erst one :(

has anyon got an frst box without an frst/erst box? if so whats the one you have and whats it like?
