It certainly did not need an 'easy going' test now the bus on the other hand..................
Plus i didn't actually test it either, i was too busy so i got one of the other guys to do it

Re: Ratspeeds Mk1 plantpot plus
I got the fiesta back from the painters today and to say i'm happy is an understatement! I had the bonnet painted and 2 massive dents took out and about 30 stonechips removed. Plus had the scuttle painted as there was a massive scab around the nearside wiper arm. it was a proper bare metal jobby too
Then when i got it back i made a little extra slat in the grill at one side so the ford badge was vertical. Now it looks loads more like the american grill.
Bring on FITP!
The only bad bit is painters are messy fuckers! ive been a good 2 hours just cleaning the bay!

over spray and paint dust is a nightmare mate, i made the same mistake when i painted the RS, covered the top of the engine but not the under side and everything has, and some still has, a red tint to it

Re: Ratspeeds Mk1 plantpot plus
Uptdate time.I bought some new coilies, still boxed from Dave G fsi(cheers again mate ). Then went to fit them and the backs went fine, but the fronts, fully wound up was far too low. The tyre was completely in the arch and it couldnt move withouth tring to bend the arch off!
So then i found out that the springs Gaz supplied must have been labelled wrong as they were supposed to be 250lbs X 8 inch.
After speaking with Burton Power i was told even if they were 250lbs that 8 inch springs are as much use as funlumps on a fish. So i got some 200lb X10.5 inch ordered. Got these fitted and wound 2/3 up the threads and it sits well The only problem it was it drove like a bag of s**t which was down to the tracking toeing in about a mile! So with that sorted and a quick test drive its all good again.
Comparing both springs the Gaz ones are no way 250lb.
The Gaz one is on the left( see how thin it is!):
Heres some piccys

Fitting gaz coilovers to my MK2 was the best thing I ever did. Totally transforms the handling.

Cheapest are gazs which are about £500 new. There's a full set for sale on XRtwo at the moment for £275 which is proper cheap, bet they will be sold within the day.
