Another small update.

I got a spare grill off ebay for a bargain of a tenner! So i cut it up to make a smooth/badgeless grill.
For a quicky attempt i dont think its too bad at all :)

All filled in with a waft of paint
Image

then painted and fitted
Image
Image

And the small crack from having to bend it when fitting it
Image

but overall happy with it and ready for Wonderland at the weekend :D :Q

saw one of them go for over £50 a while back, just not worth it. Having said that i sold a pair of xr2 headlights for over £100 a year or so ago, they arent worth it either

wow how did i miss this thread. That looks as clean as the day it left the factory. :oooh:

Just a thought i think it would bennifit from having the round lights in the front from the mk1 xr2? Ive seen a few base model mk1's with this set up and they look the funlumps.

I wish i had a mk1 - makes my mk2 look very shabby indeed.

[quote="Ratspeed"]Well, gave my wheels a quick wag over this weekend and then today me and a mate took it for a spin and he took a few good piccys.
I'll admit that its a bit of a gay thing to do, but here they are.

Far from it, they're genuinely really nice photos. I'm about to set one as my wallpaper! Should you ever want to sell it please send me a message. What a car! What a colour!! :)
If it wasn't so clean, i'd have burnt it by now!

Wow, never thought my plant pot would get so much love! I genuinely apprciate it guys :)

And Jay, i think i can get away with 'adjusting' the part that holds the origional indicator in to fit the XR2 lights in. The only thing i'm bothered about with the round lamps is that i dont want the big bumpers with the indicator in. I'll have to come up with an idea because i do fancy fitting some crystal golf headlamps in :Q

It'd have to be a full kit if anything, but i love the shape of it as it is :)

on a nother note, ive been at Wonderland Classic and Sports Car Show this weekend and i got persuaded to enter the MK1 fo judging in the Ford 1975-1985 catagory. i thought it was no way clean enough but what the hell.

The judges came round, did their thing and went. I didn't bother waiting for the results for all the trophies at the end of the show and left 30 mins before.

Then i get a phone call off a mate on the way home and ive only gone and won 2nd place fudgekin trophy!!! Cant beleive it!! :aaah: :)

Trainer is a nice mod tbh

Sometimes when people fit golf headlights they fit the indicators inside the headlight, or behind the grille
