Re: Rattys Mk5 RS 2000
Another update time!
I had a few hours to see if i could have a play with the fuel cap area and wheel arch. After some digging and smacking about the hole got biiiiig!! Now i'm no bodywork man, but not having the correct equipment to hand to use the repair panel i got the grinder, twattle cans and a tub of bodge out :lol
Laid some primer to show how uneven it was, then noticed the small dint.
Then a few hours later i had this
The 'ring' is just placed in to see what it looked like, and the cap is from the RS1800. I knew i kept it for a good reason
Now i know its not perfect, i think its useable though.
Also i thought about using these wheels, Pro rally 1's. The brakes sit nice behind them but not sure on the style.
Might just go for mondeo 16's cossie style...
And had a play with the spare headlight. looks a bit toss i think
Opinions welcome as always

Re: Rattys Mk5 RS 2000
Update time again!
Had a day of work so had an afternoon playing.
First off when i had a general check over of the car i noticed the offside headlamp and main beam werent working so i had a look today.
No lives at the bulb end and all fuses were fine, so i feared the worst and thought it had the dreaded f**cked fusebox. So t took the fuse box down and it had a 1998 date stamp on it Anyways, i had a rummage in the shed and found my old XR3i fusebox to try but it was slightly different, but all the relays were there. so after some relay swapping its all working again
Theni moved onto the interior which is minging!
so i gave it a damn good clean, shampood the carpets, seats, door cards and rooflining, treated the plastics and s**t sprayed it all up.
Next the cheapo spacers came through the post so i can fit the rear centre caps on. Plus the wheels sit better too.

Re: Rattys Mk5 RS 2000
Just 10mm. But sometimes 10mm makes all the difference
Like i said, i only did it because the studs poked too far through the wheel nuts so the center cap didnt fit, and for £8.50, it was the easiest option.

Re: Rattys Mk5 RS 2000
too true mate, and fair enough.
then again you could of just cut the studs down and saved the £8.50 for more fags, and that = fag pics
