Re-jetting carb ?

Postby DorsetZS on Thu Sep 12, 2002 1:08 pm

I have a 1.1cfi, with xr2 bolt on kn and cat back powerflow system with 50mm bore, and was wondering about getting the carb re-jetted ? does this sort out the petrol/air mixture, or ?? how much and is it worth it ??

Cheers, Dan, any info welcomed !!

The cfi's are single point injection, and i have been wondering if i should get a new injector myself as my k reg 1.1i has just clocked over to 99,000 and i know its still on its original :-?

i wouldnt re jet the carb with the jet taht comes with the K&n!!!

garage that was asked to check the mixture when i first put a K&n on my 1.1 put the jet in and it caused the engine to burn out some piston rings!!!

Went back and complained, the answer i got was well what do you expect if you play with an already tiered engine! could have swung for him!!
