rear anti roll bar on 1.3

Postby Jonezy on Wed Jun 27, 2007 12:42 pm

got the front one on now.

how do i get a rear one on as i have no tags for the bar on the rear beam.

do the tags just bolt/weld on easy. or is it a case of full rear beam from an si/rs

my car has also become quite twitchy after having the front arb done. ideas?

well you could do either. obviously getting a rear beam with the mountings already on will be easier but if your being cheap then get some measurements for the mounts and weld them onto your beam.

Phone them and ask how much it would be for one from a Ghia 16v. It will be the same beam but they may have jacked up the price as they think it's for an RS.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

naa this was for an si/rs/ xr one, and they acutally gave me a choice,

and theve got a couple of all 3 so should be fine.

that £50 includes beam, drums and arb so i thought it was a good price.

if its drums as well and you get the xr/rs size drums its a good price, if you plan to fit the ones from the 1.3 back on it then its not a good price.

brackets can me made and welded on, but then you have to buy a beam, prob a tenner, then the brackets, £15, then the rubber bushes, prob £3-£4 each at a guess and your need 4 so say £16, thats a total of £41 and you got to make and weld brackets on, dont seem worth the hassle for £9, but make sure the brackets and busheas are in good nick on the scrappy beam, cos if you gotta replace them all its gunna be expensive

and to think, ive binned 2 rear beams, 1 off 2i other off frst
