rear boxes

Postby xander7 on Tue Jun 17, 2003 6:39 pm

just a quick question. magnex don't list just a rear back box for a 16v Si. they list the cat by-pass kit and the full system (i ain't got £275 though), so i am just wanting the rear box for now.

but they don't list it as available on it's own. looking thru our systems at work, they list a rear box for a 1.8 16v 2i, which is essentially the same system along with the rs1800i and the Si, so will that back box fit onto the Si's middle section no problem?

i was gonna buy a Rage 4", but the guy at TMC put me off by saying "it'll go straight off, bit of gungum round the joins and it'll be fine" i'd rather it was a perfect fit !!

any help appreciated

cheers pal, i knew they listed the xr2i 16v/si16v/rs1800i together in mags etc, but i wasn't sure if the mountings/pipe diameters were the same.

just gotta decide wether to go for a 3" rolled or a 4" rolled :)

i'm liking a 4" quite a bit, and magnex only list a 3" and 4" for the 16v 2i, so 4" it is.

i did pick up a boxster style magnex b/b today, gonna try and fit that, if not then that'll be sold and a 2i one bought
