Rear quarter glass screw covers.

Problem or technical question?

Rear quarter glass screw covers.

How are these fitted to the outside of the glass?

I can only assume they are pushed on, but don't fancy forcing a screwdriver between the cover and the glass..... unless its the only way to remove them.

They are only coming off to be painted by myself, and to check the condition behind them.

They are quite a tight fit on, would remove it from the inside by unscrewing it then you can tackle it in a vice

Didn't think they'd be that much of a pain to remove glad I didn't get stuck in with a screwdriver

Just take them off and get new ones, still available from for and it's about £12 for 6 of them, got some just over a month ago when I got a set of windows for the project car and the caps were either rusty or missing!
