Postby bigmatt_s2rst on Tue Jun 26, 2007 9:17 pm

ive just bought a fiesta rs turbo from my mate
spec is as follows:

stg 2 hybrid t3 turbo,
low comp 1600cvh,
stg3 big valve head,
piper 285t2,
pace intercooler,
ahmed bayjoo chip(from burton power)

its running 17 psi at the moment and is a bit wild for me to be honest, must be gettin old and i can see me gettin jail if i carry on

my old s2 was around 175-180 hp and that would be cool for me

what boost should i run and what management chip would people recommend?

really wanna keep standard management and injectors etc

Worth changing the Piper285T2 cam for a Kent CVH34 as it's a far better and suited cam for the FRST.

With regards to the performance, just don't be so right foot heavy

Once the novelty of going like stink wears off you will be surprised how sedately you may end up driving.

My old 1600 Audi used to get cained everywhere. Chaged it for a 1.8T Sport which I then chipped and I don't feel half the urge to hammer the funlumps out of it.

Is the car running a standard radiator :-?

Do you have any problems with overheating?

Standard rad will be fine at that spec, are you having problems with yours?

No my car is still in a million pieces  Just wondering whether it was worth replacing it or not.

I dunno, I would have said the car being in bits would be a pretty major problem :P

I've not seen problems with mildly tuned cars. GRS intercoolers seem to cause problems with the cooling system on many RS Turbo's but if you're not using one I wouldn't worry. If you are using one a swap to an alloy rad may be beneficial :)

I would get rid of the pace intercooler and buy something that actually improves cooling, that way you would increase performance by sticking with what you have now
