Removing the Amal Valve?

Postby 007 on Mon Sep 13, 2004 11:06 pm

I think mine is faulty and Ford are looking for £120 for the Valve and £100 more if I want to replace the pipes.

At this moment in time I simply havent the budget to do that as brakes, cam belt, alternator belt, lots of oil changes, driveshaft, major service etc are eating up my funds.

I have noticed from searches that some people have just linked the Turbo pipe straight to the Actuator ignoring the Amal Valve the adjusted the Actuator to the correct psi.

Is this really a good idea?
And where can I get some pipe to do the job? (I could just butcher the pipe coming off but would rather not).
