Re: Replacement door speakers
if you buy or make speaker adapters you can go for pretty much any size you want , i would get some coaxials in there for some decent sound.

Re: Replacement door speakers
what are you going to run them off? standard headunit? after market headunit? amp?
speakers dont distort normally by running them too hard...its due to them getting too much bass turn the bass down and you might be suprised how good a standard set can be...bit harsh but quite suprising still
but get a set of Rainbow's, Pioneers, JBL, Alpine etc in there and they will happily cope with more bass than the standards will cope...but will also distort if too much bass is pushed through them
if its a mk3 13cm should fit

Re: Replacement door speakers
hi bassboy, i got a mk4 fiesta and i will be running them off the standard headunit cos i want to keep my setup quite stealthy. i will be getting a sub for it soon anyway to handle the bass side so it should be ok. Do you know whats the maximum depth speaker i can buy tho cos ive seen a powerfull set on ebay but they are 68mm deep and i dont know if they will fit. later on down the line i might amp them but i dont want to do that at the moment.
