Re: restore time!! *UPDATE 20th feb - time for feature!*
well after muchos faffing around with this poxy pedal. its all working and coping with the pony power with ease
god knows how ill beat 13.48 at the pod with this tho pedal is soft as you lift off the floor then goes insanely heavy with a bang!
practically impossible to get a good launch like how i used to
dave aka knuckles practically pissed himself when he felt the clutch pedal tonight
suppose i will get used to it but i dont drive it often enough!
anyhow the adjustable pedal is pucka, i can at least adjust the height of the bitting point for the clutch
and of course some pics!
in the end i got fed up so cut the whole lip off!

Is the good pedal the one with the knob? I have that but don't know how to adjust. The clutch arm only goes on in one place and I'm getting about 1/4 pedal travel!

all i can suggest max is take out the seat and lay like i have in the pic and with a torch you can see that you have to loosen the knob untill it loosens itself to adjust where u want it to go and then tighten again. it helps alot if your not fat like me

BC is totally wrong for the driving you do, Gav. To survive, the BC needs slow changes and no abuse in 1st or 2nd - i.e. no 1/4 mile.
I have a Focus RS box, with a brand new Quaife diff and the correct bellhousing to suit a CVH (standard Focus RS Gearbox will try to tip the engine forward) £550

Re: restore time!! *UPDATE mag feature & rip gearbox #4!*
very interesting a good idea but at this stage id rather go for a more straight forward solution and mend the current cts stg2 box. clutch has only done 200 odd miles too.
perhaps at a later date ill go for the frs box
ps. 4 gearboxes in 13 years isnt that bad is it? and ive only properly blown a hole in 1 of them

Cts boxes are shoddy though, heard of plenty of them not lasting very well. For what you pay for one of them i can have 6 ib5 boxes recon'd with erst lsd's.
