Rolling Road Help

Postby slackerpage on Mon Jun 23, 2003 6:47 pm

Im thinking about putting my car in for a rolling road it is an Xr2i with a turbo lump, i fitted a while back it has never idled right from the day i put it in, now do i put it in for a rolling road session or have it tuned at the side of the road by one of these mobile tuning guys. The reason i dont have the rolling road is cause i DO NOT want my car taken to the rev limiter in every gear, or is that not the case, Please help....

Depends on who does it

When I had mine rolling road tuned the bloke never went above 4500 revs, he just changed gears to increase the speed

from this he managed to solve my fueling problems and make the car much smoother to drive.

I think they only rag it when trying to discover the engines bhp & torque

ur car shouldnt be taken to the limiter on a rolling road; not even for a power run as max power is not produced at the limiter!

rolling roaders will do what ever u request them to do!

mobile tuners tend to be less effective, and can be more expensive and more opportunity for less qualified ppl!
