Rotor Disk Breaks

Postby dj_space on Tue Nov 04, 2003 8:09 pm

Got me some rotor disks a week or so back now and just done over the 300 mile mark with em, and they still dont have the stopping power that my old 1's had, it feels squishy when breaking. any help?

No wonder! ...... you have less surface area then std disks. That fancy design might induce more air, but do damn all else!

Im running AP/Lockheed std disks on std pads ............ cheap to replace and work better than others i have tried..... (Greenstuff and EBC disks) ....... those fancy holes and channels machined into the disk reduce surface area and block up .... going by my experience.

there just a Gimmick if you ask me, and only look good if your car was appearing in the Fast & the Furious. For braking they don't do much, i would stick to the well known brands.
