hi i jaust got a car and the engine is dead now great :x it is a xr2i 1.8 105ps and i am looking at buying a rs 130ps engine and ecu etc will the engines and ecus just swap straight over without and mods to the mounts or looms? And i think its external edis or what ever its called where there is a plug on the bulk head is the 130ps engine the same cheers

Should be an easy swap - old engine out, new one in

I think some RS1800's were internal EDIS so you might have to do some wiring modifications to get it to work, there's no need for a loom change.

when both cars have an external edis, it's just plug and play - check it out before you buy the engine, so you'll have no problems later

My rs1800 engine is internal edis, but it went into an si 1600 so no problems.

How ever, for the fact that your going to have the engine out, why not put a 2.0 in?
