I'd go for the Mondy lump as the Rs2000 was the I5 engine, which is harder to get tuning parts for, as the zetec you can tune relativly cheaply.
(btw hello everyone !!)

can be done but the rs2000 enigne is heavier and isnt a straight fit. Has more power as std though

I say go for the RS2000 engine myself. Not sure what the gearbox situation is like as i believe it has the MTX-75 box, correct me if im wrong. But, the I4 is a pretty solid, if a little heavy, lump, and has quite a bit of potential for modification if you are prepared to spend the time. And, you could always locate a f**cked Galaxy in a breakers and nab the 2.3 engine out of it and mate the 2.3 bottom end and RS2000 head :)

im running esc cos pad, discs and calipers. ALmost straight fit just need a few washers to space them out.

And id definetly go zetec rather i4. You will be able to get a zetec engine for 300 quid odd and it is much easier to fit and the car will handle better cause the engine aint heavy like the i4. Im building a second 2.0 16v fiesta on the cheap for track days. So far ive spent 120 on an si shell, 30 quid for a 2.0 head, 100 for an erst gearbox (had lsd) and i just now need to source a 2.0 bottom end and an ecu.
